Back In The Saddle

Well, it has now been officially 6 months since the Garden of Beaden has closed its 313 N. Second Ave. location. After 20 years I gotta admit it does feel a bit weird. I made so many great friendships that I will cherish forever.

Closing the store seriously about killed me. It was more work than I could ever have imagined. Without my friends and family it would not have gotten done. So a big THANK YOU to everyone who got in there and made it happen.

Its been a real learning experience for me getting our STORE page going on the website and for that I have to thank my nephew Dan Kuhlken, THANK YOU Dan for having the patience to work with me. You are the man! I have learned more in the last six months and know I have so much more to learn. Its taken me a bit of time because I often run into technical difficulties; I am figuring things out slowly but surly. I’ve also started posting things on my etsy page as well https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/GardenofBeadenupland for larger items I’ve been using Market place on Facebook. The website is definitely a work in progress. Changes and updates will be made daily.

On a more personal note, being able to spend more time with my family has been the best! Thank you Ron for supporting me to do all the things I love. Ron and I just celebrated our 35 year anniversary. We reflected a lot on our accomplishments and could not be prouder of the family we’ve created. The love in this group is enormous! I am so grateful for all the things that we have been through; without these experiences we would not be who we are today. I am GRATEFUL!

These pictures are from the last day we were open. As well as the back storage room all cleaned up and me on one of the very last days in the store.
